Book Announcement: YOU AGAIN, Out October 28, 2025

It’s finally happening. After working on it for a few years, my debut poetry and prose book, YOU AGAIN, is out October 28, 2025. 🥳

This book has truly been a labor of love. Not to sound dramatic, but it’s kind of my life’s work. Inspired by entries from over 30 of my private journals, all 101 pieces of prose read like something between a diary and a daydream. And as a Pisces, I’ve daydreamed a lot.

How many times can you write about the same person before it finally stops hurting?

YOU AGAIN is a moody, intimate collection about love, loss, friendship, and everything in between. Through vivid vignettes and confessional prose, Megan Portorreal captures the ache of holding on, the quiet triumph of letting go, and the familiar comfort of going in circles—until one day, without realizing it, you find your way back to yourself. 

In case you missed it, I wrote about why I decided to self-publish and why this project has meant so much to me. I’ve wanted to write a book since I was a little girl, and self-publishing it has been no small feat. But now that it’s finally happening after several years of writing, editing, querying, and planning, I am over the moon.
