As an editor in the fashion and beauty industry, I’m always getting introduced to new beauty brands and new products. However, not many brands have left an impression on me as well as RealHer. While most brands focus on enhancing your outer beauty, RealHer’s philosophy stems from confidence on the inside.
The brand’s lip gloss tubes and makeup brushes are stamped with uplifting, powerful phrases. “I Am Beautiful” and “I Am A Queen” are confidence-boosting, while “I Am The Storm” and “I Decide My Own Destiny” strike another welcome chord. When I read those phrases, my face lit up, and I could truly understand that feeling beautiful was the first step to looking beautiful.
A pep talk + quality makeup.
After trying out the makeup, I was even more impressed. My favorite products from the brand are definitely their eye shadow palettes (especially the Do Your Squats palette) and their lip glosses. The lip glosses plump your lips without being sticky and their eye shadows are long-lasting and highly pigmented. I especially love their nude lip kit, pictured below.
The choice between a lip gloss or liquid matte lipstick and matching lip liner is fantastic. The packaging is what won me over from the start; the phrases are just such a welcome touch and everything feels so carefully designed.
Apart from the products, I absolutely love everything this brand stands for. Not only are their products cruelty-, paraben-, and sulfate-free, but they also try their best to support young girls and women everywhere by donating to various charities occasionally.
I had the pleasure of interviewing RealHer Founder Bill Xiang for Cliché Magazine. You can check out our interview here.
