Introducing Thursday, A Publication on Medium

When I discovered Medium last December, I instantly fell in love. A place for writers to thrive and share their work without dealing with annoying ads? Sign me up! Then, when I learned you could also create your own publication on the platform with a team of writers and editors, I knew I had to start one myself because, well, I did run a digital fashion magazine for 6 years. I have always loved curating content. Thus, Thursday was born.

I created Thursday after my favorite day of the week. Thursdays have always made me feel both optimistic and pensive and I realized these feeling are among my favorites in the world. Now, I want to collect stories of mindfulness, self-betterment, and personal growth in a single publication.

Our goal at Thursday is to write and share personal essays about self-reflection and modern lifestyle. We aim to inspire our readers and help them realize their lives are unique. Every seemingly ordinary day is just another chance to better yourself, and we encourage our writers to share their most valuable life lessons with the world.

Write For Thursday

That means we are looking for writers to join our team! We are looking for thoughtful pieces about yourself and your life. Tell us about a memory or a recent experience that is important to you. Tell us about something you learned the hard way. We believe everyone’s lives are special and we want to hear what makes yours so unique.

Personal essays, think pieces, and narrative nonfiction of 800–2,000 words are welcome. Sorry, but we are not accepting poetry or fiction at this time.
