On Thursday, February 11, I had the pleasure of going backstage at the Creatures of Comfort show at Highline Stages in Manhattan to check out the beauty looks for New York Fashion Week. While there, I got to meet Davines’ lead hairstylist Joseph DiMaggio, who walked me through the hair routine and introduced me to some of Davine’s customer-favorite products. I also met one of the head makeup artists for Shiseido, who showed me some of the new lipsticks (pictured above) that were used for the show. These babies will be available for purchase this summer, and both the lipsticks and creams come in so many different shades of red that there’s definitely a shade for every skin color!

What I really loved, though, was the nail art at this show. It was so whimsical and fresh and cute, and it was fun watching the nail stylist work on all the models! Now I’m kind of obsessed with negative space nail art, and have been searching Pinterest for inspiration… don’t be surprised if you see me rocking some cool nail art soon!

A special thanks to Creatures of Comfort and Davines for inviting me.
