If you know me at all, you know my nail polish collection is pretty damn impressive. Actually, if I could get an achievement for stashing bottles of nail polish, I think I’d rightfully earn the title of “hoarder.” It’s my job, really–I work with a bunch of different nail polish brands to cover their newest collections in Cliché Magazine, and that means I usually end up with a ton of nail polish. However, I discovered (and purchased) this brand on my own, while on a shopping trip to Target, and I kicked myself for not realizing that Target came out with their very own nail polish line sooner.

When it comes to nail polish, I usually gravitate towards nudes, taupes, black, and grays (and a deep, deep red when I’m feeling special). These two just seemed right up my alley, especially for the upcoming fall season! The blue shade “Storm Chaser” caught my eye immediately. It has a semi-matte finish and dries fairly quickly. The nude, called “Next,” is also semi-matte, and is the perfect grayish brown. What I really love about this nail polish is that they are 5-free and rid of the harmful ingredients that are in most nail polishes today and only cost $7 a bottle. That’s so impressive for a 5-free formula! With a base and top coat, I got a pretty good wear out of them (5 days) before they started to chip, and the color stayed vibrant. I will definitely look forward to more colors in this collection!

Have you tried Target’s Defy & Inspire nail line yet? What did you think?
